Avengers: Infinity War

Alright guys and gals, strap yourselves in because I don’t even know where to start with this review. The very essence, the very heart and soul of this movie, is just one giant spoiler. But I did my best not to reveal anything! So feel free to keep on reading.

It all started back in 2008 with Iron Man, and from there has, quite literally, grown into an entirely new universe. This film, Avengers: Infinity War, is the end game of that universe so intricately created 10 years ago. And it absolutely does not disappoint.

Clocking in at nearly 3 hours, some critics are calling the movie “bloated” or a film that only “true fans” can possibly enjoy. I found this not to be the case as I attended the pre-screening with a friend who asked me halfway through the film if Vision was Ant-Man, and even she enjoyed it!

Infinity Wars offers non-stop action, from opening scene ’til the credits roll, and humor that lightens the tone and derives greatly from the combination of characters we have waited so long to see team up (Thor and the Guardians, anyone?).

This film sheds a whole new light on some of our beloved, but lesser known characters and brings a new meaning to the words, “Earth’s mightiest heroes.”

Comprised of several fast-paced story lines and awesome team ups, the movie may be 3 hours long, but before you know it… it’s over. And though Marvel Studios claims that Infinity Wars and the still untitled Avengers 4 have nothing to do with one another, I am beginning to have second thoughts on this.

Whatever you’re expecting, I promise you, you’re not ready. Marvel’s biggest movie of the year has most definitely lived up to that name.

Marvel is currently in Phase 3 of their plans, and their next big releases include: Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018), Captain Marvel (2019), and Avengers 4 (2019).
